While interfacing with founders and/or existing internal teams as an extension of your company, I advise, conceptualize, present design direction, and problem solve. Working alongside the about.me team, I provided brand direction as well as conceptual and high-fidelity user interface and experience design. I then executed the design across the scope of work.

Rdio

Collab

Collab is where Weightshift becomes a bespoke team for your defined project or problem. Utilizing long-term collaborators and partners, I unite a distinguished group to assist with projects that either can’t be tackled internally due to resource limitations or require an outside and fresh perspective. Collab projects look like:

Xero TaxTouch

Working intimately with Xero and in collaboration with Overcommitted, my highly respected iOS partner, we conceptualized, designed, developed, and successfully shipped Xero TaxTouch, an Apple-featured, award-winning iOS app that allows freelancers and independents to track expenses and file taxes.

Outpost Games

I customized a team to serve the website needs of Outpost Games, an in-stealth games company that is “…turning players into performers.” Working with the company founders, we designed, developed, created content, and set tone and brand direction for their website to announce the company, with a focus on job recruitment.

Adobe Typekit

After Adobe acquired Typekit, alongside Scott Robbin, my trusted developer, we were asked to design and develop a new responsive marketing website and evolve the brand identity to be a sibling to Adobe’s suite of extensive creative products.

One Medical

One Medical had undergone a series of design sprints with GV to revamp their website. When it came time to execute, the work transferred to Weightshift. Along with developer Scott Robbin, we designed and developed a new responsive website.

Rdio

Our first project with Rdio entailed extending their new-at-the-time identity across branding materials and developing a style guide for how to apply the identity. A team made of myself, designer Laurel Hechanova, and copywriters Zach Thomas and Jen Schuetz produced just that.

Dash

Perfect for small, specialized, one-hit projects, Dash is a week-long design-centric focus on a key page, screen, or digital product (mobile app, website, application, etc.). Limited slots are available per month. Some examples include:

  • Conceptualizing and creating a high-fidelity initial design for a new product to help you envision, present, or sell the idea
  • A web-based page or product feature redesign that you may want to A/B test or revise for better conversion, or to introduce new copy, visual language, or new brand language
  • Redesigning a feature or screen of a mobile app, such as how an alternate flow in an app should work, or any interactions around creation, consumption, curation, and discovery
  • You have a very specific problem unique to your company that you’re looking to solve, and you require a swift, external perspective and potential solution
