Apartment Therapy Chicago: House Tour

In the fall of 2008, Naz Hamid and Jen Schuetz were fortunate to be asked to showcase our former home in Chicago on Apartment Therapy: Chicago. Staff writer Alexandra Valera-Barrett wrote and compiled the piece while photographer Evan Thomas took the excellent photos and made the place look nice.
The home office is featured in some of these shots and the story and thinking behind the aesthetic of our home is explained.
You can read and view all the photos here.

AIGA: Creative Content for the Web
“‘In our day-to-day lives, we experience many kinds of communities…’ said Mr. Hamid, ‘…the Web is a community at large… all are welcome.’”

In April of 2008, the Chicago chapter of AIGA kindly invited me to speak at their Tools of the Trade series of presentations. My talk was called Creative Content for the Web.
The official blurb: “In 2007, AIGA Chicago introduced Tools of the Trade, a practical business workshop series for designers. Mirroring the Business of Design Series, these events address the hands-on needs of design businesses. Join AIGA Chicago and Naz Hamid as he spreads knowledge on his expertise of interface design and large-scale interactive projects geared to building communities and groups.”
Much thanks to Andy and Kelly at Tandemodus. A recap is available from AIGA Chicago’s website here.
Slides are available as well (PDF, 74.8MB), hosted on Mediafire.
