Lost World's Fairs

Typographic Travels Through Time

Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9 Beta in September of 2010 and held an online and offline in-person exhibition in San Francisco. Under the Beauty of the Web banner, the exhibition featured the best that the web had to offer from studios and creatives across the country. Jason Santa Maria pulled together Frank Chimero and Naz Hamid to explore typographic possibilities on the web, with the power trio Paravel doing development. Working together with Nishant Kothary at Microsoft, we created the concept of Lost World’s Fairs that never were as interactive broadsheets. Naz designed the 1924 El Dorado World’s Fair broadsheet for the lost city of gold.
